Loganikos hides in the green of northern Taygetos. It is best known for its Byzantine castle, built on a rock above the village – a short uphill climb rewarded with a wide view over the area.
The village keeps its stone houses, old wells, watermills and fountains, and has seven Byzantine churches. Ai-Giorgis, dated 1374, is one of the oldest churches on Taygetos.
