In Mystras, photographer Takis Aivalis has put his life's passion on display: more than 1,000 cameras, recognised in 2001 by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest private collection in the world. It all started with a 1923 Kodak given to him by his father.
The collection follows the evolution of the camera through the 20th century – Kodak, Zeiss Ikon, Nikon, Canon, Polaroid and many more – with aerial cameras, wooden cameras, lenses and books. A good stop for photographers and for a rainy day.
